Express Gateway to the world
Leveraging the ubiquitous network and extensive portfolio of services, HGC has established a leading position in the local and international fixed network industry, delivering sophisticated fixed-line telecommunications solutions to corporate and carrier customers in Hong Kong and overseas.
Our international network is equipped with highly resilient and fully protected features. In addition, our 24/7 international Network Operations Centre (INOC) provides round-the-clock monitoring and service support to ensure total customer network satisfaction.
Today, HGC runs an extensive fibre-optic network in Hong Kong. It also provides network routings that span the globe via submarine and terrestrial cable facilities offering a high degree of resilience. HGC's advanced voice, data and IP network today links its home market with the rest of the world and carries traffic between internationally-dispersed geographies.
Recognising that mainland China will become a powerhouse in the global economy, HGC was one of the first few fixed network operators in Hong Kong to have established direct telecommunications links to mainland China. Since 2000, HGC has built fibre-optic cable systems at Lok Ma Chau, Man Kam To and Lo Wu to provide cross-border telecommunications services.
HGC becomes one of the key players in Hong Kong to integrate five cross-border routes with the networks of all three mainland China's tier-1 telecommunications operators.
HGC network reach also stretches from its home base in Hong Kong to emerging markets like mainland China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
HGC provides global connectivity services to support mobile service operators, international carriers, multinational corporations, Internet content providers and application service providers in Hong Kong, the US, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, along with the rest of Asia.
With state-of-the-art network infrastructure, world-class data centre facilities, far-reaching connectivity and software-based capability, HGC is well positioned to capture new market opportunities in the digital economy.
Marseille is one of the biggest data gateways in Europe and one of the major interconnection points for international submarine cables linking Europe and Middle East, Africa and Asia. Marseille is also a major strategic hub serving a community of hundreds of carriers and service providers.
HGC can interconnect with the France Internet Exchange for peering, establishing routes between different parties under the telecom ecosystem.
The new PoP in Dublin underlines HGC’s deep European coverage, adding to existing PoPs in important carrier neutral locations such as London, Frankfurt, Dubai, Marseille.
The strengthened connectivity enables HGC to further provide network and internet services for international carrier, OTT service providers and enterprise customers in the EMEA region, as to support the growing demand for high-quality IP transit services and subsea cable connectivity from global customers.
Thailand is one of ASEAN’s top performers in the logistics field, playing a major role in the increasingly sophisticated regional supply chain in meeting the rising demand for cross-border logistics services. The new PoP was launched to meet the growing demand for connectivity and support rapidly growing traffic patterns in e-commerce across Asian capital markets, providing more direct connectivity options for latency-sensitive customers including the financial sector, OTT such as gaming and content providers that require diverse high bandwidth transit.
